The 17th T129 ATAK helicopter is ready for duty.

The 17th T129 ATAK helicopter, developed and manufactured domestically by TAI and having completed all its tests, has also been delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces.

TAI tarafından milli imkanlarla geliştirilip üretilen ve tüm testleri tamamlanan 17’inci T129 ATAK helikopteri de Türk Silahlı Kuvvetlerine teslim edildi.

Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri’nin “Taarruz ve Taktik Keşif Helikopteri” ihtiyacının karşılanması için 50 adet helikopterin tedarikine yönelik olarak 2007’de imzalanan sözleşmenin ardından, ilave 9 adet Helikopterin 15 ay erken teslimatını hedefleyen EDH (Erken Duhul Helikopteri) tedarik sözleşmesi de 2010 yılında imzalanmıştır.

The T129 ATAK, which resulted from modifying the AgustaWestland A129 airframe to meet the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces by changing the engine, transmission, and tail rotors, as well as equipping it with domestically produced avionics and weapon systems, holds the title of being the most effective attack helicopter in its class worldwide.
