A framework agreement for the National Combat Aircraft Original Engine Development Program was signed between the Presidency of Defence Industries and TRMOTOR. Our national aircraft will fly with a national jet engine.
Within the scope of the program to be carried out under the leadership of SSB (Undersecretariat of Defense Industries), the aim is to create the design, development and testing infrastructure of a turbofan engine for the National Combat Aircraft in our country, while also acquiring many capabilities and technologies that can serve different projects and programs.
Within the scope of the National Combat Aircraft Original Engine Development Program, the goal is to develop the engine, critical subsystems, and components using domestic resources.
The Framework Agreement for the National Combat Aircraft Original Engine Development Program is considered a significant step towards making Turkey one of the very few countries in the world with capabilities in gas turbine engines and related sub-technologies.
