The ignition of BATU, the first 1500 horsepower domestic engine developed by BMC Power engineers for tanks and various armoured vehicles, was successfully carried out.
İsmail Demir, President of Defence Industries, announced on his social media account that Turkey's first 1500 horsepower tank engine, developed with national facilities, was successfully fired. After the qualification tests to be carried out and the updates that will emerge as a result of these tests, the engine, which will also be used in the Altay tank, is planned to be put into mass production.
