HAVELSAN announced that, for the first time in Türkiye, a call was made using a truly domestically produced 5G standalone mobile phone over a genuine 5G standalone base station.
During the 5th Workshop of the End-to-End Domestic and National 5G Communication Network Project, organized under the coordination of HAVELSAN, tests were conducted by establishing a connection between HAVELSAN and Turkcell laboratories. With these tests, the 5G core network developed by HAVELSAN with its project partner companies was successfully installed on the virtualization and cloud platform developed by HAVELSAN. Furthermore, for the first time, a commercial 5G base station was seamlessly integrated into the core network.
