İMECE, Türkiye's first sub-meter electro-optical satellite camera developed using domestic resources, was scheduled to be launched into orbit on April 11th aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, but the launch has been postponed.
The excitement of Türkiye acquiring its first domestically developed electro-optical satellite camera with sub-meter resolution was scheduled to take place on April 11th, when the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket was planned to carry İMECE into orbit. However, SpaceX postponed the launch to Thursday, April 14th, at 09:47 Turkish time.

YouTube Live: Transporter-7 Mission In addition to İMECE, the Transporter-7 mission, which will be broadcast on [website address], will also launch the AKUP CubeSat satellite developed by TÜBİTAK UZAY, the KILIÇSAT satellite produced in cooperation with ASELSAN and GÜMÜŞ, and the CONNECTA T2.1 CubeSat, an Internet of Things and imaging satellite produced by PLAN-S, into space within the same rocket.
İMECE is designed with a mission life of 5 years and will be able to take images from anywhere in the world without geographical restrictions. The satellite will serve Türkiye in many areas such as target detection and identification, natural disasters, mapping, and agricultural applications. With the start of İMECE's mission, Turkey will further strengthen its position in the field of space technology.
