The Presidency of Defence Industries established the Innovative and Advanced Technologies Participatory Venture Capital Investment Fund to reduce external dependence and support innovative technologies. This fund aims to increase domestic production in the defense industry by investing in entrepreneurs and innovative technologies.
The fund's first investment was in Beam Teknoloji A.Ş. Beam Teknoloji is known as a technology company established with Technopreneurship Venture Capital Support, primarily offering solutions for the defense industry. The company, which stands out with its solutions in autonomous systems and cybersecurity, contributes to the development of domestic and innovative technologies in the field of cybersecurity.
BEAM Technology Inc., specializing in the identification, closure, and improvement of vulnerabilities in products, systems, and personnel against potential cyberattacks in the rapidly evolving field of Cybersecurity alongside digital transformation processes, develops solutions and services for many national and international corporate firms in line with its corporate vision and strong R&D infrastructure.
Beam Technology became the first privately accredited Cybersecurity Assessment Test Laboratory in Türkiye in July 2015, having completed the necessary accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025 by TÜRKAK) and licensing (licensed by TSE under Common Criteria and Basic Level Security Assessments) processes in the field of IT Product Security Assessment.
BEAM Technology is authorized by TSE (Turkish Standards Institution) as a Type A Penetration Testing Company for international security assessments of IT solutions as well as penetration testing of systems.
The aim of the Innovative and Advanced Technologies Participation Venture Capital Investment Fund is to increase domestic technology production in the defense industry and reduce dependence on foreign sources. In this context, it aims to increase domestic production in the sector by supporting innovation and R&D activities and entrepreneurship in the defense industry.

The Innovative and Advanced Technologies Participation Venture Capital Investment Fund was established under the auspices of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), led by SSTEK, and in partnership with Vakıf Katılım Bankası AŞ, Ziraat Katılım Bankası AŞ, and Türkiye Kalkınma ve Yatırım Bankası AŞ. The fund's primary purpose is to support startups and entrepreneurs working on innovative and advanced technologies that will make a difference, especially in the defense industry.
The fund's initial investment was in BEAM Technology. The fund is expected to reach a size of 1 billion Turkish Lira in the medium term.
