The HSL-700 project, developed for TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. in collaboration with ASELSAN and TÜLOMSAŞ, won the "Good Design Award" at the Design Turkey 2018 design competition.
ASELSAN announced that the Domestic and National Hybrid Shunting Locomotive (HSL-700), whose industrial design was created by Ayşegül Özbayis and Oğuzhan Topcuoğlu from the UGES Industrial Design team, won the "Good Design Award" at the Design Turkey 2018 design competition.
The Design Turkey Industrial Design Awards are a design evaluation system organized within the TURQUALITY® Program in collaboration with the Turkish Ministry of Trade (TB), the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), and the Professional Organization of Industrial Designers (ETMK). The aim is to reward good design that considers user needs, adds value to products in export and the national market, and provides a competitive advantage, thereby highlighting the benefits that well-designed products provide to society and industry.
