Designed by Turkish scientists with the support of DPT (State Planning Organization), Türkiye's first 100% domestically produced helicopter, 'Arıkopter', is coming.
Designed by Turkish scientists with the support of the State Planning Organization, Türkiye's first 100% domestically produced helicopter, 'Arıkopter', will make its first test flight in 2011. As a byproduct of the project, researchers also produced Türkiye's first domestically produced unmanned helicopter. The helicopter, named 'RİHA1', whose first test flight was successful, uses an engine taken from a chainsaw.
