The sector, which attracts attention with its transaction volume exceeding 1 billion dollars, sold 1.8 million dollars worth of seeds to Israel last year. İlhami Özcan Aygun, President of the Seed Industry and Producers Sub-Association, pointed out that the seed sector was once largely under the control of Israel, but that this situation has begun to change in recent years. Stating that they exported 1 million 842 thousand dollars worth of seeds to the country last year, Aygun said, “Israel has lost its own seed companies to multinational firms. We export seeds to 68 countries around the world, including the USA, Russia, Italy, Germany, and Spain.”.
