The heart of the world's boron reserves beats in Eskişehir, and this strategic mineral is now becoming a basic necessity for homes. Eti Maden İşletmeleri is introducing "Eti Matik," a boron-based cleaning product developed entirely with domestic capital and R&D efforts, to consumers. Challenging petrochemical detergents with its 80% boron content, the product also stands out with its affordable price.

Produced in facilities in the Kırka neighborhood of Seyitgazi district in Eskişehir, Eti Matik brings Türkiye's strength in mining to the end-consumer product. Launched with the vision of being a "National Detergent," the product is available in 3 and 5 kilogram packages. Facing high demand from day one, Eti Matik stands out as a domestic alternative in the cleaning products market, which is dominated by imported products.

A Natural and Economical Solution to Petrochemicals

The biggest feature that sets Eti Matik apart from its competitors lies in the naturalness of its formula. Unlike traditional detergents, the product does not contain phosphates or petroleum derivatives. It derives its cleaning power from natural boron mineral, which makes up 80% of its content.

  • Price Advantage: The power of local production is reflected in the label. Eti Matik, with its price being one-third cheaper than its counterparts on the market, directly contributes to the family budget.
  • Two Different Options: Developed with consumer needs in mind, the product is manufactured in two separate formulas: one for "Delicate" and one for "Normal" laundry.

From Raw Material Export to "Finished Product" Production

Turkey, which possesses 72% of the world's boron reserves, is changing its strategy of selling this valuable mineral only as raw material with the Eti Matik initiative. R&D studies conducted by the Eti Maden Mining Operations General Directorate are paving the way for the use of boron as a "finished product" in the cleaning and bleaching industry.

The product, previously used on a trial basis by employees of the Kırka Bor Mining Operations Directorate and receiving top marks, is now entering service throughout Türkiye with mass production. This investment also opens the doors to a new industrial facility and employment in the Kırka region.
