Assistant Professor Dr. Ömer İlday and his team from the Physics Department at Bilkent University have developed a new type of high-performance fiber laser that operates with higher power than existing lasers.
The work of Turkish researchers, who gifted the world literature with a new laser they named "soliton-similariton," was included in the April online issue of Nature Photonics, the most prestigious scientific journal in the field of optics, and will be published in the May print edition of the journal.
