Türkiye's first concrete step in the field of humanoid robotics has come from AKINROBOTICS. Announced via a video shared on the company's social media account, AKINCI-5 is introduced as the first humanoid robot to emerge from Türkiye's first humanoid robot factory. In one scene of the video, the robot's walking speed and fluid movement style draw attention, although full design details have not yet been clearly disclosed.

Walking Performance Stands Out in Video
While the video shared by AKINROBOTICS does not clearly show all of AKINCI-5's design details, the walking performance displayed by the robot in one scene appears promising. The performance exhibited by AKINCI-5 in balanced and fluid locomotion – one of the most challenging engineering areas of humanoid robot technology – indicates that notable progress has been achieved in Türkiye in this field. Locomotion capabilities, including walking, stair-climbing and movement on uneven terrain, are of critical importance for the integration of humanoid robots into everyday life.
About AKINROBOTICS
AKINROBOTICS is a private-sector venture established with the equity capital of AKINSOFT, Türkiye's largest software company. With its 11,000-square-metre robotics application area and 3,800-square-metre indoor workspace, the company positions itself as "the world's first humanoid robot factory." Producing all of the robots developed through the R&D efforts of its in-house engineers at its own facilities, AKINROBOTICS is able to carry out the entire process from design to mass production without reliance on external sources.
The company aims to transfer monotonous tasks that are contrary to human ergonomics and pose risks to life to robots, thereby enabling people to work in more skilled occupations. AKINROBOTICS has also established academic collaborations, including a Master's Programme in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Technologies with Bahçeşehir University, Türkiye's first "Academic Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Scholarship" with Haliç University, and a University-Industry Project on Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Systems with Istanbul Bilgi University. Under a protocol signed with the Medicana Education Group's MBA Schools, the company has also introduced the Social Robot Mini ADA into the education sector.
The company's announcement did not yet provide any details regarding AKINCI-5's technical specifications, areas of application or production timeline. Statements expected in the coming period are anticipated to provide a clearer picture of the robot's capabilities and intended use cases.
