The GÖKER 35mm Multi-Purpose Weapon System, developed by ASELSAN using its own resources, has completed its operational tests and capability demonstration firings at the Ministry of National Defence's Karapınar firing range.
According to a report in the ASELSAN magazine, tests conducted using ATOM ammunition revealed that the system successfully destroyed very small and challenging targets in the mini/micro UAV class at ranges far exceeding expectations. ASELSAN GÖKER also proved its effectiveness against ground targets at very long ranges during these tests. The tests, conducted at the Ministry of National Defense's Karapınar firing range, demonstrated the system's readiness for deployment.
What is the ASELSAN GÖKER System?
The GÖKER System is designed to meet current very low altitude air and ground defense needs, with deployment in fixed facilities and border regions.
The system, using 35mm Fragmented Munition (ATOM) as a force multiplier, provides effectiveness against air targets (mini/micro UAVs, model aircraft, helicopters, etc.) at a range of four kilometers+ and against ground targets at a range of five kilometers+. Its wide elevation range coverage allows for firing at low descent angles, especially in mountainous areas, and its high performance against both ground and air targets will make it suitable for use in the field.
