ASELSAN has completed deliveries of the National Torpedo Countermeasure System.

360 acoustic decoys and jammers were produced for the Preveze and Gür class submarines.

A ceremony was held at the Macunköy Facilities to mark the closing of the DAKA Project, developed by ASELSAN to protect submarines against threatening torpedoes.

The DAKA Project commenced on April 15, 2008, and concluded on October 1, 2014. As part of the project, 280 acoustic decoys and jammers were produced for AY-class submarines, and 360 for Preveze and Gür-class submarines.

With DAKA, Türkiye's first and largest-scale national acoustic system project;
* The first ever National Torpedo Countermeasures System has been developed.
* The DAKA system has become the only military system common to all our submarines.
* Our country has joined the ranks of a few countries capable of producing "Torpedo Countermeasure Systems".
* Critical technologies such as high-speed underwater vehicle design, ceramic production, mechanically and electrically ignited thermal cell design and production, transducer and hydrophone design and production have been brought to our country.
* Significant expertise and infrastructure have been gained in underwater acoustics, paving the way for other underwater projects.
