Türkiye has gained another new, domestic factory in the field of communication. The opening of a mobile phone production facility of a private establishment in Istanbul was carried out by Minister of Transport Binali Yıldırım. Yıldırım said, "Today, Türkiye is not only the centre of transportation and energy but will soon become the centre of informatics as well."
The domestic mobile phone production facility, which has an area of 7,500 square metres in Ümraniye, Istanbul, was opened with the participation of Minister Yıldırım. Minister of Transport Yıldırım stated that this facility is an important venture because it is the first and domestic one of its kind, and that they would provide all kinds of support for its success.
Explaining that the mobile phone sector is open to growth up to $500 million per year, Binali Yıldırım stated that Türkiye addresses a population of 400 million in this market.
