Plan-S, Türkiye's innovative satellite communications initiative, has announced a significant expansion in global IoT connectivity. The company is preparing to launch four new satellites into space to expand its Connecta IoT Network.
These satellites are designed to increase network capacity and will utilize LoRaWAN technology to provide connectivity, particularly in remote and underserved areas. These new satellites will change the way IoT devices connect, providing uninterrupted internet over a wide area with low energy consumption.
As part of Plan-S's expansion strategy, the company plans to increase its satellite fleet to over 100. This expansion will not only broaden the coverage of the Connecta IoT Network but also improve its efficiency, reduce latency, and increase data transmission capacity.
