The Ministry of National Defence has announced that work continues to enhance the Turkish Armed Forces' means and capabilities with indigenous and national defence industry products. According to the Ministry's statement, various quantities of deliveries and inventory entries were carried out over the past week.
SUNGUR and OMTAS Deliveries to the Land Forces
Inspection and acceptance activities for the SUNGUR Missile and its trigger assembly, along with the Medium-Range Anti-Tank (OMTAS) Missile, have been completed by the Land Forces Command. SUNGUR is a man-portable air defence missile capable of being fired from the shoulder or from a platform, used against UAVs, helicopters and aircraft at low altitude. OMTAS, meanwhile, provides effectiveness against armoured threats as a medium-range anti-tank missile. Both systems have been developed by ROKETSAN.

SOM Munitions for the Air Force
SOM-B1T and SOM-AT munitions have been taken into the inventory by the Air Force Command. SOM (Stand-Off Munition) is an air-to-ground cruise missile family developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE and produced by ROKETSAN. Standing out for its long-range precision strike capability, SOM offers the ability to engage strategic targets without entering the engagement envelope of enemy air defence systems. The SOM-B1T and SOM-AT versions respond to different mission profiles with different warhead and seeker head configurations.

Electric APC and Howitzer Munitions from MKE
MKE has carried out the delivery of an Electric Armoured Personnel Carrier (E-APC) to the Land Forces Command. The E-APC is an armoured vehicle powered by an electric drive system, providing advantages in military operations through both its low acoustic signature and low thermal signature. MKE also successfully carried out deliveries of 155 mm long-range howitzer munitions to defence industry stakeholders.
The slides included in the Ministry's post also featured systems such as KAAN, MİLGEM, SİPER, KORAL, TAYFUN and ATAK.
