A ceremony was held at the Istanbul Shipyard Command in Pendik to mark the launching of the first Turkish corvette, 'Heybeliada', and the minehunting ship, 'Akçay', produced under the National Ship Project (MİLGEM), as well as the first welding of the second ship of the MİLGEM project, 'Büyükada'.
