Kuralkan Group, a long-established giant of the Turkish motorcycle industry, made a massive investment in 2007 that changed the fate of the sector. The group, which had been producing motorcycles at its facilities in Dudullu, Istanbul since 1994, commissioned Türkiye's most modern motorcycle factory in 2006 to meet increasing demand and modernize its technology.

With the spread of motorcycle culture in Türkiye, the Kuralkan Board of Directors, deciding to increase production capacity, transformed this strategic decision taken in 2005 into a tangible industrial victory in 2007. The project, initiated due to the inadequacy of the physical space and capacity of the existing facilities in Dudullu, was completed, and Kanuni motorcycles began rolling off the assembly line at this massive and modern facility near Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

An Uncontainable Local Power

Kuralkan Group established a significant presence in the sector by continuously producing at its Dudullu facilities from 1994 to 2006. However, the rapid growth of the market in the last few years (early 2000s) necessitated a larger and more integrated facility.

Construction of the new production facility, accelerated in 2005 and operational since 2006, was at that time the largest indoor facility in Türkiye's motorcycle industry, equipped with the latest technology. With this investment, Kuralkan significantly increased its production volume, while also raising its assembly quality and export potential to world standards.

Kanuni: Türkiye's Domestic Brand on Two Wheels

At the heart of this massive investment Legal, It has always held a special place in the history of Turkish industry. Founded in 1987, the brand began its journey by producing motorcycles for the legendary German brand MZ in Türkiye, and has transformed this deep engineering expertise into a local identity.

Named after the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, the brand offered a wide range of products from scooters and commuters to ATVs and touring motorcycles. In Kuralkan's journey, which began in Dudullu and expanded to massive facilities in 2006, Kanuni succeeded in becoming "the people's motorcycle" with its affordable price, widespread service network, and durable construction suitable for Türkiye's road conditions. Providing accessible mobility in every corner of Anatolia with its domestic production power, Kanuni has been etched into memory as the flagship of the Turkish motorcycle industry.
