Consultants have determined that the 405 pieces in the ECA Historical Faucet Collection are faucets produced over a 500-year period, from the mid-15th century to the mid-20th century, with the vast majority dating from the Ottoman era.
The pieces in the ECA Faucet Collection were examined by experts from the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art, and in 1981, permission to collect antiques was obtained from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
