Karsan, one of Türkiye's leading bus manufacturers, continues to reap the rewards of its investments in next-generation energy systems. Karsan's e-ATA Hydrogen model won a Bronze Award at the Stevie Awards, one of the world's most prestigious business awards.
e-ATA Hydrogen is a 12-meter-long, hydrogen-fueled electric bus with a capacity of 95 passengers and a range of over 500 kilometers. Awarded a Bronze Stevie Award in the transportation category of the Product & Service section, e-ATA Hydrogen stands out as an environmentally friendly, quiet, and efficient means of transportation.
Karsan CEO Okan Baş, in a statement regarding the award, said that they started electric vehicle production 5 years ago and filled a gap in the market with the hydrogen fuel option. Baş stated, “e-ATA Hydrogen is a zero-emission, high-performance bus that can be used in both urban and intercity transportation. This award proves Karsan's innovative vision and environmental awareness.”.
Karsan is a market leader with its e-ATA Hydrogen model, as well as its electric minibus Jest Electric and electric bus Atak Electric models. Karsan manufactures its electric vehicles at its factory in Bursa.
What are the Stevie Awards?
The Stevie Awards, established in 2002, are the world's most prestigious business awards, created to honor and recognize the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and professionals around the world.
The Stevie Awards comprise eight different business award competitions. These include the American Business Awards, the International Business Awards, the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, the Middle East and North Africa Stevie Awards, the German Stevie Awards, the Stevie Awards for Women, the Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service, and the Stevie Awards for Great Employers.
Karsan's e-ATA Hydrogen model has been awarded the Bronze Stevie Award in the Product & Service category for transportation. This category evaluates the quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction of new or significantly improved products or services.
In addition to the Bronze Stevie Award, Karsan also won two Silver Stevie Awards at the 2023 International Business Awards. One was for the e-ATA Hydrogen model in the Best New Product or Service of the Year – Automotive & Transportation category, and the other was for the Karsan Academy project in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year – Europe category.
