KERKES Launches 'GPS Independent Autonomous Flying and Swarm UAV' Project

A project has been launched to develop a swarm of drones capable of flying autonomously without GPS.

Sürü halinde uçabilen İHA’lardan sonra, geleceğin harekat ortamlarına uyum sağlamak için GPS (Küresel Konumlama Sistemi) bağımsız otonom uçabilen İHA’ların geliştirilmesi için KERKES projesinin geliştirilmesine başlandı.

KERKES projesinin geliştirilmeye başlandığını Savunma Sanayii Başkanı İsmail Demir sosyal medya hesabından yaptığı paylaşımla takipçilerine duyurdu.

STM tarafında geliştirilmeye başlanan bu proje ile, haberleşmenin olmadığı durumda İHA’lar üzerine yerleştirilen hassas sensörler yardımıya alınan veri ve görüntüler yapay zeka ve derin öğrenme teknikleri ile işlenecek ve tespit edilen hedefler büyük bir hassasiyetle vurulacak.
