Following the development of UAVs capable of flying in swarms, the KERKES project was initiated to develop GPS (Global Positioning System) independent autonomous UAVs to adapt to future operational environments.
Defense Industry President İsmail Demir announced to his followers on social media that the KERKES project has begun development.
With this project, which was started by STM, data and images obtained with the help of sensitive sensors placed on UAVs in the absence of communication will be processed with artificial intelligence and deep learning techniques, and the detected targets will be hit with great precision.
We are preparing for the future operational environment today. Following our AI-powered swarm UAV capability, we have launched the KERKES - Global Positioning System Independent Autonomous Navigation System Development Project, which will enable UAVs to operate in environments without GPS. pic.twitter.com/3tbSBAqKjl
