The Malazgirt Mini Unmanned Helicopter System is a mini robotic helicopter system that has been developed entirely domestically, including its electronic hardware, software, aircraft design and manufacturing, and is the first of its kind in the world to be used by the Turkish Armed Forces.
The Malazgirt system was developed as a result of intensive R&D activities. The system features an autopilot system with a low-cost electronic hardware architecture and an advanced embedded software architecture. The autopilot system provides guidance and stabilization of the aircraft based on modern nonlinear control techniques. It has been developed in two types: gasoline-powered and electric-powered. Capable of vertical take-off and landing, as well as pinpoint take-off, the system can be used even under the most challenging geographical conditions.
