Defense industry company METEKSAN has produced the "Retinar PTR" perimeter surveillance radar, which can "distinguish humans" for border and area security. The radar can detect human movement in the region and scan up to 4 kilometers.
The meeting regarding the radar's launch was held at the Ankara Bilkent Hotel. Speaking at the meeting, METEKSAN General Manager Selim Murat Erciyes stated that the product was developed to meet both domestic and international needs. Erciyes noted that the radar was manufactured using high technology, adding, "I believe we will experience the joy of exporting this product.".
