Ismail Demir, head of the Defense Industry, announced that the development of miniature bombs is continuing with successful firing tests.
What is a miniature bomb?
The Miniature Bomb (MB) is an integrated GPS/INS guided munition that can be launched from an air platform via a Multiple Carriage Rack (MCR) and used against hard and soft ground targets. The MB can be carried in batches of four on a single station on the aircraft via the Multiple Carriage Rack, allowing for attacks on eight different targets in a single sortie. With its deployable wings, it is effective against targets up to 55 nautical miles away. Its penetrating nose cone allows it to penetrate reinforced concrete, and its precision strike capability minimizes environmental damage.
