Developed by scientists from METU with the support of TÜBİTAK, the six-legged robot possesses high mobility and survival skills in challenging terrain conditions, similar to insects.
Unlike other similar devices in the world, SensoRHex can perform movements such as climbing stairs, rapid jumping, very fast running, and somersaults.
Developed specifically for aid and search and rescue operations in situations inaccessible to humans, the robot can also be used for military applications such as mine clearing.
