The Pardus Interactive Whiteboard Interface Project (ETAP) has been completed. The Interactive Whiteboard Interface Project (ETAP) was developed to enable teachers and students to more easily use the basic functions of the interactive whiteboard, especially during lessons. Within the scope of the project, the existing Pardus interface was modified to meet the needs, resulting in a new interface and improved desktop environment.
The launch ceremony for the Pardus "Interactive Whiteboard Interface Project" (ETAP), developed for interactive whiteboards used in the FATİH Project in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education and TÜBİTAK, was held at the Başkent Teachers' House.
In his speech at the ceremony, Minister Avcı explained that the meeting was organized to showcase the Pardus software developed for interactive whiteboards installed in schools within the scope of the FATİH Project, and the opportunities and ease of use offered by the new interface.
Minister Avcı stated that ETAP, a new study, marks a new stage in the use of interactive whiteboards, and added that one of the strongest aspects of the FATİH Project is that the installed devices can be easily updated and controlled remotely.
Minister Avcı stated that they are aware that the installed or distributed devices will become obsolete if updates are not made taking into account the developments in software and the needs provided by end users, and continued as follows: “The new interactive whiteboard interface also demonstrates the dynamism that the FATİH Project exhibits in terms of updating and renewing itself and continuing on its path.”.
This new interface, developed for interactive whiteboards, was designed as a new interface by modifying the existing Pardus interface according to needs, with the aim of enabling teachers and students to use the interactive whiteboard more comfortably, especially during lessons. The design and added new features were developed with the goal of making a touchscreen device easier and more effective to use.”
