Türkiye's first advanced research center in nanotechnology is being established at Sabancı University. Sabancı Holding Chairman Güler Sabancı stated that they will invest 50 million Turkish Lira in nanotechnology, adding, "As a university, we will contribute to Türkiye's ambition in this field."
Güler Sabancı, Chairwoman of Sabancı Holding, announced that a nanotechnology (atomic-level engineering) center will be established in Tuzla with the support of Sabancı University, Sabancı Foundation, and the State Planning Organization (DPT). Speaking at a meeting held to mark the 35th anniversary of the Sabancı Foundation, Sabancı stated that this investment is one of Sabancı University's greatest responsibilities.
