Baykar Technology's Chief Technology Officer, Selçuk Bayraktar, stated, "If the Bayraktar TB3 and the MİUS unmanned combat aircraft ever become operational, it will revolutionize the history of combat.".
Speaking at MÜSİAD (Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association) at their invitation, Selçuk Bayraktar, the technology director of Baykar Technology, mentioned the National Technology Initiative and, in a part of his speech, stated that "if one day the Bayraktar TB3 and the MİUS unmanned combat aircraft become operational, it will revolutionize the history of combat.".
Bayraktar TB3
Developed domestically and originally by Baykar, the Bayraktar TB3 UAV is an armed unmanned aerial vehicle system capable of taking off and landing from ships with short runways. In addition to reconnaissance, surveillance, and intelligence gathering missions, it is capable of conducting operations with domestically produced smart munitions carried under its wings.
Designed with a foldable wing structure, making it suitable for use on helicopter carriers and aircraft carriers, this aircraft offers the user the capability to conduct operations with armed unmanned aerial vehicles in overseas missions.
The Bayraktar TB3 has both line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight communication capabilities, allowing it to be controlled from very long distances.
Baykar Unmanned Combat Aircraft MIUS
In defense doctrines that are rapidly evolving in parallel with the rapid advancement of technology, it is predicted that future air combat will be carried out with unmanned combat jets. In this context, the MİUS combat unmanned aircraft system, currently under development as a national and original project by Baykar, will shape the future of combat concepts.
Building upon the experience gained from the Bayraktar UAVs/UASs, developed by Baykar and considered game-changers worldwide, the combat unmanned aircraft system is being developed and will serve equipped with the technologies of the future.
Capable of conducting air-to-air combat with aggressive maneuvers, MİUS will be a force multiplier for security forces with its low radar cross-section. Enabled to take off and land from ships with short runways, MİUS will be able to attack designated targets with the ammunition it carries inside its hull.
