Baykar Technology, was founded in 1986 and has been in operation since the 2000s. unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UCAV) is a globally recognised Turkish defence industry giant.   • Piaggio Aerospace Acquisition - With the acquisition of 140-year-old Italian aerospace company Piaggio Aerospace, Baykar took the Turkish aerospace industry to Europe.
  • UAV Cooperation with Leonardo - A high technology UAV development and production agreement was signed with Italian Leonardo.
  • National Engine TM100 - Bayraktar TB2 now flies with the completely domestic TM100 engine.
  • MURAD AESA Radar - Bayraktar Akıncı successfully completed its first test flight with the MURAD AESA radar produced by ASELSAN.
