TEKNOFEST, the world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, is preparing to welcome technology enthusiasts in Şanlıurfa in 2026. To be held at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport between 30 September and 4 October, TEKNOFEST Southeast will be the festival's 15th event. Visitor registration continues for the festival, which is free to attend.
A Technology Gathering at the Zero Point of History
Organised under the main executive leadership of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and the Republic of Türkiye's Ministry of Industry and Technology, TEKNOFEST Southeast positions science and technology in Şanlıurfa – a city bearing the traces of ancient civilisations – in a way that brings the past together with the future. The festival will feature breathtaking flying displays, concerts and stage performances, exhibitions and educational workshops, simulation experience areas, science shows, and exhibitions of land and air vehicles that are a source of national pride.
Competitions in 61 Main Categories, TL 175 Million in Support
Technology competitions will be held across 61 main and 143 sub-categories within the scope of the festival. Teams that pass the preliminary elimination stage will benefit from material support exceeding TL 100 million, while winning teams will receive over TL 75 million in total prizes. Competition areas include agricultural technologies, architectural and visual design, blockchain, mobile satellite terminals, mining technologies, oncology 3T, robotolig, entrepreneurship, financial technologies, ÇELİKKUBBE air defence systems, technological applications in combating addictions, the World Drone Cup, ISIF and Hackmasters Southeast.
What's on the Event Map?
The festival area has been designed to offer visitors a broad range of experiences. The map features experience points including the ASELSAN land vehicles exhibition area, the Land Forces land vehicles exhibition area, a planetarium, the Göbeklitepe experience area, the journey of materials experience area, the TEKNOFEST champions' parade, Area 26 experience exhibition, the Hezarfen experience area, the HÜRKUŞ mini flight area, the "All Happy Families Resemble One Another" exhibition, and the ÇELİKKUBBE digital experience area. The event area also includes a main stage, grandstands, shops, a food area, a sterilised walkway and an air vehicles exhibition area.
Among the service areas, facilities such as water, toilets, accessible toilets, baby care, a medical tent, an emergency assembly tower, a buggy stop, a prayer room, an ablution area, an info/registration point, a press/agency area, and an information and support centre will be available to visitors. Visitor parking, student parking, academic stakeholder/participant/official/press parking, stakeholder and sponsor parking, and VIP parking are also located within the event area.
How to Register as a Visitor?
To gain entry to TEKNOFEST Southeast, which is free to attend, visitors must register online via the official TEKNOFEST website before the event. Registration requires holding an NSosyal account on Türkiye's new-generation social media platform. Participation is limited in number, and a separate ticket must be created for each participant, while no registration requirement applies to children under the age of 7. Visitor entry and exit to the event area will be possible between 09:00 and 20:00.
