TEMSA introduced its electric bus, the MD9 electriCITY, in Spain, where electric vehicle transformations are gaining momentum, as part of a demo program organized by ALSA.
TEMSA, which has launched an electric vehicle offensive in the European market, continues to lead the transformation of intercity transportation. Most recently, TEMSA introduced its MD9 electriCITY electric bus model in Murcia, Spain, and delivered the vehicle to ALSA, Spain's largest operator, for a long-term route. The demo drives, attended by the Mayor of Murcia, the Head of the Transportation Department, and the Director of Mobility Systems, received high praise from the major operators participating in the program.
Spain on the Blast of Electric Transformation
While Europe is experiencing a rapid transformation regarding electric vehicles, Spain announced a billion-dollar investment package last year for electric car production. Leading the way in environmentally friendly transformations, the city, which is accelerating its investments in electric buses as part of its planned major electric transformation projects in the near future, has prioritized TEMSA. In a demo program launched to create a pilot experience that will encourage zero-emission intercity transportation, the MD9 electriCITY, which aims to make significant contributions to environmentally friendly transportation, will operate for one month on the new Alcantarilla-Murcia line, which has 14,000 active passengers.

Its programmable regeneration feature allows the vehicle to generate electricity during travel, maximizing battery capacity. With a high passenger capacity of up to 30+2 people and three different charging options, the vehicle can be charged in two hours. This 9-meter-long, eco-friendly bus boasts zero carbon emissions, is quiet, comfortable, high-performance, and features cutting-edge technology.
