Inspired by their mother's heart attack, two women combined fabric and technology to design a "heart attack warning t-shirt.".
Ezra and Tuba Çetin are sisters whose parents worked in the textile industry. They grew up surrounded by fabrics and sketches. Both studied fine arts. Joining forces in 2006 to form 'ezra+tuba', the two sisters turned their attention to wearable technology after 2012.
Ezra and Tuba Çetin are among the world's leading figures invited to panels and conferences on "Wearable Technology." After their mother suffered a heart attack, the siblings decided to create a t-shirt that collects risk data from individuals to assess the likelihood of future heart attacks. They presented their project to a professor at TÜBİTAK Martektek, which led them to access a wealth of data and information. Invited as guests to Mumbai Fashion Tech, the pair aim to showcase their project at this event in Mumbai.
