The Turkish automotive industry continues to bolster its global competitiveness through corporate transformations. Türkiye's mobility brand, Togg, has implemented a deep-seated strategic change in its organisational structure. The company announced to the public that it has reshaped its senior management cadre as of 1 May 2026. With this new restructuring, management aims to respond to user expectations much faster. Furthermore, this move directly strengthens the brand's vision for agile and focused growth.

New Management Architecture: Analysis of Strategic Roles

Conventional automotive companies generally possess heavy and cumbersome management schemes. However, as a technology-oriented mobility company, Togg is designing far more dynamic titles and areas of responsibility. The new assignments elevate all of the company's processes, from production to after-sales, upon three main pillars.

The first strategic pillar is represented by Roberto Rempel, who has assumed the role of Product Development and Engineering Leader (CDEL). Rempel had been serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2025. This new role will directly shape the brand's future smart devices. Specifically, the development process for the new economic B-segment vehicles will be the primary focus of this department. Additionally, advanced software updates and hardware engineering will be managed from a single centre.

In the second pillar is Murat Akdaş, who has been appointed as Production and Logistics Leader (CPLL). Akdaş had successfully led production at the Togg Technology Campus since 2020. In the global automotive market, logistics networks and supply chain security are of vital importance. Consequently, the consolidation of production and logistics under the same leadership provides the company with significant operational speed.

The third pillar is formed by H. Çağ Günaçar, who has been appointed as Marketing, Sales, and After-Sales Leader (CMSL). Günaçar had been managing branding and corporate communications processes since 2018. Within the electric vehicle ecosystem, after-sales service quality is the most fundamental element determining customer loyalty. Indeed, the company plans to perfect its service network by linking the end-to-end customer experience to a single executive.

Meanwhile, Togg CEO M. Gürcan Karakaş is taking over the Finance and Financial Affairs Leadership role in an acting capacity alongside his current duties. This situation clearly demonstrates the great importance the company places on financial discipline and cost optimisation during its expansion phase. All newly appointed leaders will conduct their processes directly under the management of CEO Gürcan Karakaş.

From Start-up Phase to Global Player

Organisational needs change over time during the growth journeys of companies. When Togg was established in 2018, it acted with the reflexes of a start-up. The main objective at that time was to establish the factory and put the first model on the roads. The company successfully completed this challenging founding phase with the T10X model.

As of today, the brand is no longer just a start-up selling vehicles in Türkiye. The company has added the T10F model to its product range, expanded into the European market, and is developing B-segment infrastructure with giants such as CATL. Therefore, the old management structure had to be updated to manage such a large-scale industrial operation. The new architecture is the most concrete corporate evidence of the transition from the start-up phase to the growing global company phase. In the past, many domestic industrial projects failed to gain a foothold in the global market due to a lack of institutionalisation. However, Togg is avoiding this historical error by updating its leadership cadre in accordance with global standards.

Export Offensive with an Agile Organisation

This new restructuring, which came into effect on 1 May 2026, is seen as the cornerstone of Togg's strategy to carry its domestic strength into the international arena. It is believed that the clear division of job descriptions into the triangle of product, production, and customer will radically accelerate decision-making processes.

In the coming period, this new leadership team will establish the entire engineering and logistics infrastructure for the new B-segment vehicles planned to hit the roads in 2027. Ultimately, Türkiye is shaping the world of mobility not only with companies that produce advanced technology but also with those that manage this technology with an agile vision at global standards.
