Developed by Turkish engineers, Türkiye's first domestically produced armor, 'T-Armor' (Turkish Armor), has begun to be exported. Türkiye has thus become one of only three countries capable of producing advanced technology armor from boron carbide.
Nurol Technology's 'T-Armor' (Turkish Armor), Türkiye's first domestically produced armor developed by Turkish engineers, has begun to be exported.
Tunç Batum, General Manager of Nurol Teknoloji AŞ, explained that they designed the T-Armor, which they developed two years ago, using boron carbide, ceramics, and composite materials, and that they achieved a first in Türkiye in this field.
Batum stated that T-Armor, an advanced ballistic armor solution, can be applied to land, air, and sea vehicles, structural buildings, and as bulletproof vests for personnel, adding that they have started exporting the vehicle-related versions and currently have export contracts worth $45 million.
