
Türkiye's first Accelerator Technologies Institute and Particle Accelerator Facility Service Buildings will be inaugurated on May 9th at a ceremony held at Ankara University's Gölbaşı campus.
According to a written statement from the Rectorate of Ankara University, the Electron Accelerator and Free Electron Laser facility, the first facility of the Turkish Accelerator Center (THM), which is being constructed under the coordination of Ankara University and carried out in cooperation with Boğaziçi, Doğuş, Dumlupınar, Erciyes, Gazi, İstanbul, Niğde, Süleyman Demirel and Uludağ universities and with the support of the State Planning Organization, will be opened on May 9th. The center will provide Turkish researchers with advanced R&D infrastructure in fields such as materials and semiconductor technology, biotechnology, nanotechnology, lasers, health, communication, defense, environment, and genetics.
