Under the agreement between TUSAŞ and Tunisia, the sale of three ANKA-S UAVs and ground stations to the Tunisian Air Force, worth $80 million, has been approved.

Following successful cross-border military operations conducted by Turkey with its domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), interest and demand for these UAVs have increased globally. According to information circulating on social media, an $80 million agreement has been signed between TUSAŞ (Turkish Aerospace Industries) and Tunisia for the supply of three ANKA-S UAVs, ground stations, and training for military personnel for the Tunisian Air Force.

What is the ANKA-S UAV System?

Developed with distance-independent control capability via satellite and the Turkish Armed Forces Communications System (TAFICS), the ANKA-S system has enhanced autonomy features, and its mission capability has been raised to a higher level with its new generation national high-resolution (HD) day and night camera and radio relay payloads. With its satellite control capability, the ANKA-S UAV system, with a mission range reaching thousands of kilometers, provides the Turkish Armed Forces with a significant strategic added value and capability.
