In 2006, Vestel invested over $50 million to become the first producer of liquid crystal modules in Europe and the only one in Türkiye, often referred to as the "oxygen" of LCD televisions.
Vestel, aiming to be among the top 3 in LCD module production in the world market, currently supplies LCD modules to the world's 3 largest manufacturers and also ranks 3rd in the European LCD TV market with a 15% share.
