Karsan, which continues to grow in the European market with its electric products, has made the first delivery of its all-electric e-ATA model to Romania.

Karsan has secured Türkiye's largest electric bus export agreement, signing a deal with Romania for a total of 56 e-ATA buses. With over 2 million kilometers of experience in electric vehicles, Karsan aims to deliver these buses to two different cities in Romania in 2022. Thus, Karsan is modernizing the transportation infrastructure of many cities with its environmentally friendly, zero-emission, and state-of-the-art electric commercial vehicles, while the brand's electric vehicle fleet in Europe has exceeded 250.

With its modern public transportation solutions offered to cities, Karsan will deliver a total of 10 e-ATA vehicles to the city of Slatina. Commenting on the first delivery of the 10-meter-long, pantograph-equipped e-ATA to the Slatina municipality, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, ’With our Karsan electric products ranging from 6 to 18 meters, we have become an important part of the transformation in public transportation in many European countries. We offer flexible and environmentally friendly solutions to the increasing need for large-sized electric public transportation in crowded cities. We have also made our first e-ATA export to Romania, where we have strengthened our presence with our vehicle fleet and after-sales infrastructure. Today, we aim to further expand our fleet of over 250 Karsan electric vehicles operating around the world with our new models that we will deliver to many European cities next year. With the first deliveries of our 10-meter e-ATA product to the city of Slatina in Romania, we are proud to be growing in Europe and contributing to our country's exports.’.

Seven different battery packs ranging from 150 kWh to 600 kWh.

Named after "Ata," meaning elder of the family in Turkish, the e-ATA is one of the largest bus models in Karsan's electric product range. The inherently electric e-ATA offers a highly flexible structure in many areas, from battery technology to carrying capacity, allowing it to quickly respond to needs. Available with 7 different battery packs ranging from 150 kWh to 600 kWh, the e-ATA model family offers a range of up to 450 kilometers in a 12-meter size, under completely realistic driving conditions, including stop-and-go traffic, passenger boarding and alighting, and all-day air conditioning operation, even when fully loaded on a bus route. Moreover, thanks to its fast charging technology, it can be charged in 1 to 4 hours depending on the size of the battery pack.

Its powerful engine can handle any road condition.

The maximum battery capacity is 300 kWh for the 10-meter model, 450 kWh for the 12-meter model, and reaches 600 kWh for the 18-meter model. Karsan e-ATA's electric hub motors, located on the wheels, offer a maximum power of 250 kW and 22,000 Nm of torque at 10 and 12 meters, allowing the e-ATA to climb even the steepest inclines without difficulty. At 18 meters, the maximum power of 500 kW ensures full performance even at maximum capacity. The e-ATA product range, fully adapted to the diverse geographical conditions of various European cities, also impresses with its futuristic exterior design. It offers passengers a fully low-floor interior, promising unobstructed movement. Despite its high range, the e-ATA does not compromise on passenger capacity, carrying over 79 passengers at 10 meters, over 89 at 12 meters, and over 135 at 18 meters, depending on the chosen battery capacity.
