The Free Passage System (OGS, HGS), developed and manufactured at ASELSAN facilities, has been fully implemented on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in Istanbul.
Built on platforms, the system, which can collect tolls while traffic is flowing freely, has completely eliminated the need for toll booths. With the implementation of the Free Flow System (OGS, HGS), the toll booths on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge were removed. Drivers can now enter the bridge without changing lanes on the 5-lane road, preventing time loss.
The positive impact of the new system on traffic flow was immediately felt once the concrete toll booths and canopy belonging to the old system, located directly in front of the new system, were completely removed. Istanbul residents got home faster.
