Türkiye's largest integrated biogas and organic fertilizer production facility, built with 100% domestic technology by the Altaca Group, was inaugurated by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Taner Yıldız.
Altaca Energy Chairman Hasan Alper Önoğlu stated that the production processes for biogas, organic fertilizer, synthetic oil, and humic acid from organic waste and wet biomass were entirely developed by Turkish engineers and scientists, adding, “Altaca Energy AŞ, established in 2010 with the goal of producing new technologies in the field of renewable energy and improving existing technologies to make them more efficient, is an R&D, engineering, and investment company. Altaca Energy's technology hub is its R&D center in Gebze Technopark. These developed technologies are integrated with each other to bring the Gönen Environment and Energy Complex to life.”.
Hasan Alper Önoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Altaca Energy, also stated that they will produce synthetic oil at the Gönen Environment and Energy Complex. Emphasizing that TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) is also supporting the project, Hasan Alper Önoğlu explained that they will convert the waste from the factory into synthetic oil using their own catalytic liquefaction (CAT-LIQ) technology.
