Aselsan has developed, successfully tested, and delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces a new 'Stabilized Machine Gun System' that maximizes accuracy not only during shots fired while in motion but also against moving targets.
Ergeneman stated that the testing and development phase, which has been ongoing for a year on coast guard boats, has been successfully completed, and a great success rate of 84 percent was achieved in firing tests conducted while in motion in choppy and windy seas.
Ergeneman noted that they are also continuing their work to integrate larger caliber cannon and grenade launcher type ammunition into the system, which is entirely of domestic design, and stated that the first export will be to Georgia.
In his speech, Coast Guard Commander Rear Admiral Can Erenoğlu also stated that he had personally tested the system, congratulated Aselsan, and said, "As the organization that ensures the security of our blue homeland, we are glad to have this system.".
Undersecretary of Defence Industry Murad Bayar congratulated the Coast Guard Command, Aselsan, and Yonca-Onuk shipyard for their successful cooperation.
