The CENK 3B AESA dual-axis electronically scanned naval platform radar is a modern and original naval platform radar system developed by ASELSAN.
This radar possesses critical capabilities such as S-band solid-state transmit/receive modules, a two-axis electronically scanned active phased array antenna structure, advanced digital signal processing architecture, pulse compression capability, multi-target tracking, electronic beam stabilization, short reaction time, electronic jamming prevention, and gunfire support.
The CENK 3D Search Radar is a radar capable of short to medium range operation, providing air and surface surveillance and target detection. The radar has an effective range of 400 km. With its software and hardware architecture that can be rapidly adapted to needs and evolving threat environments, the radar stands out for its high-speed track updating capabilities for priority targets, its ability to provide highly accurate positional information for G/M and gun engagement, and its rapid maintenance/repair capability and low lifecycle cost.
The CENK 3D Search Radar has been integrated into the equipment of TCG ISTANBUL, Türkiye's first national frigate. The radar was designed for the Turkish Navy's İSTİF-class frigates and is actively used on TCG Istanbul, Türkiye's first national frigate. The radar has also ended the Turkish Navy's dependence on the Smart-S Mk2 Radar developed by the French company Thales.
