TUSAŞ is continuing at full speed with the construction of Europe's second largest subsonic wind tunnel, where wind tests for the National Combat Aircraft and national aviation projects will be conducted.
The TUSAŞ subsonic wind tunnel, which will be one of Europe's leading wind testing centers when completed, will make significant contributions to the development of national aviation projects. The wind tunnel is intended for use in the development of original, fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, primarily the National Combat Aircraft, and in critical sectors.
The facility, which will be operated by TUSAŞ, will conduct tests of products developed in the defense industry and other sectors, primarily the original aircraft developed by TUSAŞ, ensuring that design and test data remain in our country.
The tunnel will have three different test sections: large, small, and open, and will be equipped with advanced technology equipment for measurement and evaluation. With its integrated conveyor belt system, landing and take-off tests for aircraft will only be possible in this tunnel in Türkiye. In addition to these testing capabilities, the production, integration, and instrumentation of the models to be tested can also be carried out at this facility, making significant contributions to the product development process.
