Hürkuş HYEU's type certificate has been published.

EASA has completed the "Type Certificate" studies for the Hürkuş HYEU, the new military variant of the Hürkuş, which is our country's first certified civilian aircraft.

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) is continuing its Hürkuş development efforts to meet the Turkish Air Force Command's need for a basic and advanced next-generation turboprop training aircraft.

The Hürkuş, Turkey's first civilian certified aircraft by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), has also completed the "Type Certificate" process for its new military variant, the Hürkuş HYEU. This marks the first time Hürkuş has been able to issue its own certification, just like military aviation companies.

The Hürkuş project, initiated under the auspices of the Defence Industry Executive Committee (SSİK) and the Presidency of Defence Industry, continues to develop with the support of the Turkish Air Force Command.

As part of the certification process, a "Type Certificate" was issued, indicating that all relevant activities have been completed. This certificate covers a total of 1138 requirements, including 540 flight hours and thousands of hours of ground and laboratory testing. Hürkuş, with its own unique military training aircraft configuration, has successfully completed all necessary safety verification activities, becoming the first military aviation company to issue its own certificate.
In this context, another significant milestone has been achieved by completing the relevant ground and flight tests for the requirements defined in the certification rules for the new configuration, which features the national avionics suite.

“Sharing his views on the "Type Certificate" studies, Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil said; "Our country has now reached the capability to issue its own certificate according to the criteria accepted by international authorities. We are happy to be among the few countries in the world that can achieve this capability. We are excited to carry out this work, which we started with HÜRKUŞ, for our other aircraft in the future. I thank my colleagues who contributed to this. We will continue to strengthen our national aviation industry.".
