Hürkuş's first international customer is Niger.

Niger has become the first international customer for Hürkuş, the domestically produced next-generation basic training aircraft.

It has been announced that Niger is the first foreign customer for the Hürkuş, the domestically produced New Generation Basic Training Aircraft manufactured by Tusaş, which has been in the news recently with its export activities.

A statement released by the Presidency announced that a telephone conversation took place between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Nigerien President Mohamed Bazoum.

President Erdoğan stated that the TB2 UAVs, HÜRKUŞ aircraft, and armored vehicles that Niger will procure from Türkiye will enhance the capabilities of that country's military and security forces.

HÜRKUŞ: THE NEW GENERATION BASIC TRAINING AIRCRAFT.

HÜRKUŞ, a tandem-seat, low-wing, single-engine, turboprop training aircraft, is designed to provide superior performance as a new generation advanced training and light attack aircraft for use in all training stages between basic training and combat aircraft conversion, and for performing close air support missions in challenging operations.

Two prototype aircraft have accumulated 567 flight hours in 530 sorties to date. During these flights, speeds of 356 knots, altitudes of 35,500 ft, and impacts of 6.3g were recorded. The flights included various tests such as system function tests, air data system calibration, stability and control tests, emergency tests, low-speed, detailed stall and aerodynamic configuration tests, spin tests, stability and control tests, performance tests, engine shutdown tests in mid-air, aerobatic and operational tests, high-speed and flutter tests, etc.
