The Presidency of Communications has launched a campaign called "Hello Türkiye" to more effectively promote the use of "Türkiye" as Türkiye's international name in international forums.
‘The communications directorate released a promotional video as part of the 'Hello Türkiye' campaign, featuring footage of foreign tourists in different parts of Türkiye sending messages by saying 'Hello Türkiye' in their own pronunciations.
Communications Director Altun: “We believe that the use of the name 'Türkiye' internationally is important for further strengthening our country's brand and increasing its reputation.‘
Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun made a statement regarding the "Hello Türkiye" campaign, launched by the Communications Directorate to more effectively promote the use of the country's national and international name, "Türkiye," in international forums.
Recalling that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a circular on December 21, 2021, instructing that the term "Türkiye" be used instead of "Turkey" in correspondence with other states and international institutions and organizations, as well as in export product communications, Communications Director Altun stated that this circular clearly and unequivocally established as an instruction that the name of Türkiye should be used as "Türkiye" and not "Turkey" on international platforms.
Communications Director Altun stated that they have continued their efforts in this direction since that day and have carried out a series of activities to promote the name "Türkiye" on international platforms.
Explaining the details of the "Hello Turkey" campaign they launched, Communications Director Altun said, "Actually, influential social media users from different countries around the world are saying 'Hello Turkey' in their own languages, thus making an effort to promote Türkiye on an international platform. In this way, they are supporting our efforts. We also made a short film.".
