Students from METU (Middle East Technical University) have developed a system, entirely using their own equipment, that allows electronic devices to be controlled by detecting specific signals in the brain.
Currently, the device, developed by doctoral and master's students from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at METU (Middle East Technical University), which allows words to be displayed on a computer screen without using a keyboard, could also be used in the future to enable paralyzed patients to communicate with their environment and move their wheelchairs.
