Otokar, Türkiye's leading land systems manufacturer, has received a large order for armored vehicles from abroad. The company will export its 4x4 wheeled armored vehicles, along with various systems, maintenance and support services, for approximately 136 million USD.
The country to which the order was placed was not disclosed, but under the contract, which also includes spare parts, maintenance equipment, and training services, deliveries of the vehicles are planned to begin at the end of this year and be completed in batches within one year. Otokar's armored vehicles are actively used in more than 40 countries, including Turkey. Otokar offers different models in the 4x4 armored vehicle segment, such as AKREP II, COBRA, COBRA II, COBRA II – MRAP, KAYA, and URAL ISV. These vehicles can be customized according to different missions and needs.
Otokar manufactures buses and trucks in addition to fulfilling armored vehicle orders. In 2023, the company received a €130 million armored vehicle order from Estonia. Otokar also announced the establishment of a new company in Italy to continue its growth in Europe.
